Hello all.
I’ve just purchased a new computer (my laptop of the last four years having finally croaked), and I would like to load a word processor that’s not Microsoft Word, or Word Perfect. I’ve been told that there are good ones out there designed specifically for serious writers (AbiWord, maybe?). Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
I’d be willing to buy software, but if there was some sort of freeware out there, that would be nice too.
Thanks a lot.

P.S. Word Perfect is a nice experience. Star Office is another.
